Baby fruit! Yay!

I've been checking on my garden every day, and my shrubs 2-3 times a week. Look what my shrubs/bushes are doing!

Austin Dewberries!!

Apache Blackberries!

Tifblue Blueberries! (And a spider!)

And a bee, pollinating the Brightwell blueberry blossoms.

This has me very excited... see that little green tip? That is a bud on my teensy little benchgraft apple trees!

I've never heard of Ausitn Dewberries!

I wonder if that's something I could grow here. . .

About Me!

My name is Amy. I am a stay-at-home (and homeschooling) mom of 4. My two biggest hobbies are sewing and gardening, hence the title of this blog, "Sew and Sow" (that's the verb 'sow' as in 'planting seeds', not the noun 'sow' that refers to a female pig!) I like cooking and playing my flute as well, but I'm not very good at either of those.

Update: I am currently attending college, which is 30 hours a week between classroom lecture and hospital clinicals. I haven't had much time for sewing or gardening!
